The Semper Augustus NFT.
The one and only, of them all. Only one will own it, and have truly have it.
Why the Tulip, Semper Augustus?
The Semper Augustus, famous for being the most expensive tulip sold during the tulip mania in the 17th century.
The colour breaks and streaks with flame-like effects were actually the result of a viral infection, the Tulip Breaking Virus (TBV), not that of breeding.
The colour variations tend to depend on the variety of tulip and the strain of the virus.
In addition, the virus also weakens the bulb and stunts its propagation & growth, with no strength to flower, the flower either breaks apart or withers away, and that is why the Semper Augustus, no longer exist today.
The tulip and specifically, the Semper Augustus is a symbolic metaphorical representation of the new heights of the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) revolution that is about to take flight.
Why Ten Smaller Tulips?
Ten was the Pythagorean symbol of perfection or completeness.
The ten smaller tulips is meant to symbolise perfection to complement and accentuate the viewer’s attention to the larger and perfect singular tulip.
Why the Voxel?
Voxel is a 3D pixel art, a combination of two words, “volume” and “pixel”.
Voxel conveys the volume and the beauty, and the NFT does keeps this extinct tulip alive digitally for all of time.
Voxels conveys the idea in simplicity and via a minimalist, yet ornate approach. It truly becomes an art in itself for the one who can appreciate the intentions.
